Eurovision Song Contest 2009 – France

franceFrance made a very brave attempt at the 2008 contest with Sebastien Tellier song. It was appreciated more in the UK than in France where it upset quite a few people for using English in the lyrics.

France has a bit of a problem here which means it’s unlikely to win because French is no longer the lingua franca across Europe, but English which is why so many countries choose to sing in it. The insistance to using French will not gain it many points we feel which is a great shame as on it’s own this is a wonderful song sung by Patricia Kaas called “Et S’Il Fallait Le Faire”.

We genuinely wish them well!
